️⃣ Restore your resource. Changing jobs requires a lot of energy. Before looking for a job, give yourself a little rest. Go on vacation for at least a week. Take time to think, just dream. Ask yourself a question: what do I want? Where do I see myself? What is my dream job? What exactly don’t I want to do? Taste this special time at the zero point, that is, in uncertainty. Such a period helps you understand what you really want and find your business.
️⃣ Stop self-digging. Especially after being fired or after some failure, sit down and write what your strengths are, what you did well and where you should work. Don’t focus only on the negative. It was exactly what you succeeded in and had success. Remember what it was. And about where you made a mistake, don’t think in the channel “If I were to go back half a year, I would do that and so.” It doesn’t help. You can’t change the past. Think about what you will do differently in the future.
️⃣ Add an affirmation. Ask significant people about their strengths. More often we think of ourselves worse than we really are. Therefore, close people who love us so much that they are honest with us should see more than others and, sometimes, and for ourselves. When it comes to dismissal or job cuts, then initiate a meeting with your direct supervisor and ask for feedback or evaluation of your work and you as an employee. Ask him to name your achievements and give you advice for the future on where you need growth. In fact, for your growth, you should hear such reviews. A good manager will do it with dignity and it will encourage you to change.
️⃣ Find your vocation. Don’t rush into job search just because you need money, and there’s a hackneyed phrase in your head: I have to work. Someone will say that combining vocation and money is a luxury. But I’m sure this combination is possible and it brings the most pleasure in life. When you are full, when you are happy, you succeed more and better. Your emotional, mental and physical health is worth being normal. But often an unloved job ruins him.
️⃣ Prepare for a job search. Work out your resume, study the labor market, prepare for an interview. For yourself, answer the question: what am I worth? What are my achievements? Why am I a valuable specialist? Which of my competencies are unique? What will the employer appreciate me for? All this will give you confidence in job search and during interviews.
